Craft Fair, December 7, 2013 at Stratton Elementary School

Our rock club is once again participating in the Stratton Elementary School Christmas Craft Fair,  Saturday, Dec. 7th.
We will have a spin wheel for the kids – 25 cents per spin, and you win whatever pretty rock the arrow lands on.
We will also be selling beautiful Quartz Crystal plates and clusters, as well as some other collector’s minerals. Very reasonable prices – $1 to $20. Sizes range from silver dollar size to garden ornament size. Lots of palm sized specimens.
Great collector’s items, stocking stuffers and unique Christmas gifts. If you’re a rockhound, come just to hangout and talk rocks with us!
9 to 3 on Saturday at the Stratton Elementary school’s gym; 1201 W 5th St, Newport, WA ‎ 99156

2013 Guided Field Trips – Sign Up

Field Trips – Geology Professor, Andy Buddington, with SCC, has agreed to lead our club members on a guided car-pool field trip through the Pend Oreille Valley on

Saturday, August 3rd. He will guide us by explaining the geology that we pass on a two way radio, as well as passing out mile by mile written guides. He is also leading

a similar trip in Stevens County on July 20th. In order for us to be able to stop at a few of the sites that he will point out to us, we must keep the number of vehicles

down to as few as possible.  If you would like to go on either of these field trips, and are willing to car-pool, please contact Pat Weeks as soon as possible. Andy needs

to know how many vehicles will be in our caravan in order to decide where he can safely take us, and he needs to know how many field guides to print up. Pat will tell

you where and when to meet up for the trips.
